Core Values of Crossroads Community Fellowship
- • We believe in God; as our Father, the creator and sustainer of life who revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ his son, born of a virgin and our only savior who sent his Holy Spirit to work in and thru our lives. The Spirit guides, teaches, empowers, and comforts us as we live by his direction.
- • We believe that salvation is by God's grace alone, not thru any effort on our part. God calls us to accept his free gift recognizing that acceptance means allowing Jesus total control over every area of our lives.
- • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We see it as our final authority, thru the discernment of the congregation that should direct how we live.
- • We take our role as the church seriously, providing an atmosphere of growth within our group while actively proclaiming the good news of salvation in a relevant way to our community.
- • We believe in mutual accountability as we serve together, as we leave the sinful nature behind growing in the life of his Spirit; we seek to project a consistent Christian lifestyle in action as well as communication.
- • We value our mission as coming from Christ himself and as communicated through our mission statement. This statement helps guide our decisions together.
- • We value the contribution a "Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective" makes to our understanding of the Christian life and practice especially adult believers baptism, peace with reconciliation, stewardship, and mutual aid.
- • We value our connections to the broader Anabaptist family mainly through our participation in Lancaster Mennonite Conference, Eastern Mennonite Missions, Mennonite Central Committee, and Mennonite Church USA.
